Have you ever made a vow to yourself? I made one when I was nine.
After my dad lost his job, I watched my parents struggle to cover the bills. That year, I earned a spot on a top soccer team but had to turn it down because my family couldn’t afford the cost. Instead, I became a referee.
I still remember telling a girl from tryouts why I wasn’t playing. That day I made a promise to myself: money would never be the reason I missed out again. That vow shaped my career as a financial planner.
Then in 2020, just one year into retirement, my father unexpectedly passed away. He had worked so hard to reach this goal, and suddenly I was reminded that time is just as precious as money.
Today, I help clients find balance between preparing for tomorrow and enjoying life today. Financial security matters, but so does enjoying life and making memories with the people you love while you can.
Helping people live well—not just someday, but now—is why I do what I do.
