Have you ever realized that you didn’t know what you didn’t know? I certainly have.
In college, I used a credit card without really understanding how it worked and it backfired years later. I wasn’t irresponsible, I simply had never been educated in personal finance.
Subsequently, after getting married, I found myself asking, “Are we saving enough and in the right places?” Once again, I realized there was a gap between what I needed to know and what I had been (or hadn’t been) taught.
A part-time job in financial services changed everything. The more I learned, the more I realized how many capable, responsible, smart, and hardworking people were facing the same challenges I had.
What started as a part-time opportunity became a lifelong calling. Today, I’m passionate about financial education, teaching personal finance to high school students, and helping my clients approach retirement with confidence and understanding using our FINANCIAL LIFE ADVICETM process.
My goal is to make sure clients understand the reasoning, the “why” behind every decision. I believe no one should have to figure it all out alone.
